Introduction
Brominated flame retardants (BFRs) have been widely detected within environmental media. Understanding their emissions is important for risk management of these compounds1. The transportation industry is one of the main sectors in which polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) and hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) are used. This study aimed to investigate the emissions inventory of commercial DecaBDE (c-DecaBDE) and HBCD used in vehicles in Japan in the past and future considering elimination measures.
